Wedding Ministry by Design Foundations for Marriage Denise and I absolutely love officiating weddings. It gives us both tremendous satisfaction, pleasure and fulfillment. Not only are we given the opportunity to become a part of the celebration of marriage, but our own marriage is enriched by each ceremony of which we are a part of as we are reminded of the precious treasure we have in one another. As minister's, however, our duties do not end when the ceremony is completed and the pronouncement of marriage is made. We feel compelled to make ourselves available to each and every couple who have made us a part of their special memories, to continue to help them through the many difficulties they may face as they build their lives together. When we decided to put this website together, I first visited hundred's of wedding ministry websites to gain ideas of content and layout. I was shocked to find virtually no content about what happens after the ceremony when the couple is then faced with the daunting task of making their marriage a successful one. The truth is, if more couples spent as much time preparing for their marriage as they spend preparing for their wedding, they would have a much better chance of finding true married bliss. This page is our effort to try in some small way, to provide couples with tools to help them in their journey. We don't have all the answers for you. No one does. If it were as simple as writing down the rules for a successful marriage and follow them step by step, everyone would do the same things and no one would ever get a divorce. But the truth is, what works for one couple, may not work for another. As a Pastor, I firmly believe that inviting God into your marriage is the absolute best measure for success. However, we all know even that is no guarantee. We see devout Christian couples in our divorce courts every day in America. And my purpose here is certainly not to preach to you. In fact, I believe, if minister's spent more time teaching and less time preaching, we would all be better off! However, God does have a lot to say about marriage, and some of my articles will reflect upon God's direction for us. These articles will be in no particular order. They will be posted as I write them. I sincerely hope that you might find something here of value. If what I write here helps just one couple to work through their difficulties, then my efforts here are well founded.
He's perfect! I can't wait to change him! The Treasure Hunt (For Men Only!)
